While it is not all that we do, our times together every week are very important for our spiritual growth as modeled by the very first Christians who “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42)
Our times together are casual and contemporary and include stirring worship, inspirational and relevant teaching and preaching plus warm times with friends around coffee and treats in our amazing café before and after service! Come and experience one of our services at the stunning St. Francis Centre, complete with historic stained glass windows, theatre style seating and state of the art sound and media set up.
Every Sunday morning at 10:00am with full children’s ministry.

City Gates Church places high value on teaching children biblical based values and our facilities allow us to offer both secure & exceptional, life-shaping children’s programming.
Children 0-3: Our supervised parent room onsite at the St. Francis Centre allows you to stay with your baby while at the same time enjoy a live feed of the service from the theatre! Toddlers will also enjoy short teachings and fun activities.
Children 4-12: Our school age children get to experience their own service that has been uniquely designed to meet their needs! Simply drive up to St. Francis Public School (shared parking lot with the St. Francis Centre) and check in your children at our computerized welcome desk. You will be given an id tag for each child and information regarding pick up times, emergency procedures, etc. If you are visiting with us, please feel free to stay and take in a portion or the entire program as we lead the kids in high energy worship, practical biblical teaching and lots of fun stuff including a great rewards program and healthy snacks.

Families meet in different homes to encourage each other with prayer, the study of God’s Word and opportunities to share both the victories and challenges they may face from day to day. In Ajax and Whitby, meetings are weekly on Wednesday evenings and in Oshawa, weekly on Thursday evenings.
We do anything and everything fun! Sometimes in homes, at bowling alleys, conferences or even playgrounds, you can count on us doing something wild every week!
